Loading Other Total Station Drivers

Recent versions of Party Chief will automatically load total station
drivers from disk when selected in the Config program. Versions prior to 4.0p
require the driver to be loaded manually.
Follow this procedure to load a driver manually:
On The PC
- Insert the Party Chief disk in A: or B:
- Type A: or B: as needed.
- Type KERMIT
- If using COM2 then type SET PORT 2 at the Kermit prompt. If using COM1 you should skip this step.
- Type SET BAUD 9600 .
On The HP48
- Go to Read/Write program, Set I/O routine and set the communication parameters to WIRE, 9600 baud,
NO parity, then exit the program.
- Turn off User Mode
- Type OTHER
(The key is the letter M)
- Duplicate the name by pressing several times.
- Press
( is the 1 key on a GX)
On The PC
- Type SEND DRIVERNAME replacing DRIVERNAME with the driver you need to use. For
example, if using the Lietz SDM3ER you would type:
SEND LSDM3ER.TSD
