Technical Support Mail

Have you checked the FAQ? More than half the tech support questions we receive by phone or email are answered in the FAQ.

When sending mail about a tech support problem please make sure you include all the following information so we can help you in the shortest time possible:

• Your name
• Name and/or company name under which the software was purchased
• Name of the product you need help with (Example: Student Cogo)
• Complete version number of the program (Example: 1.1B).
  HP48 program versions are available by turning user mode off, turning alpha on, and entering Version. Lower case letters are entered using left shift. Version can also be accessed by turning user mode off, pressing Library (right shift 2), then the softkey for your program (STUD,PARTY,MATE,TOOLS,etc), then the VERSION softkey.
  PC program version numbers are available by using the Options | About command in DOS or Help | About in Windows.
• The program or function where the error or problem occured.
• Any unusual circumstances which might be related (Example: your file server crashed that morning).

For Windows programs, if you use the Email Support command in the Help menu, the program name and complete version number will automatically be added to the email subject. This may not work with some email programs such as AOL.
