New features included in 1.1 are assymetrical vertical curves, volumes program, predetermined area, additional circle computations, and faster file access. The current Party Chief version on the SX is 3.9. Updates are available, but we highly recommend you upgrade to the GX.
FileMan48 3.3G for DOS is the current version. Updates are $24.75. Version G added support for fast pentiums. This is most likely the final DOS version and users are encouraged to upgrade to the Windows version of Survey Chief. Trial versions may be downloaded from the trial page. Upgrades from FileMan48 to Survey Chief are done for just the difference in price (you receive full value for software you have purchased). From Basic FileMan48 its currently $150 ($249 - $99) and from Advanced FileMan48 its $100 ($249 - $149).
Survey Chief 3.3G for DOS is the current version. Survey Chief 3.3G update cost is $37.25. Version G added support for fast pentiums. This is most likely the final DOS version and users are encouraged to upgrade to the Windows version. Trial versions may be downloaded from the trial page. Recent enhancements include the addition of Rotate/Translate, Match, and additional functions in the Cogo Calculator. DXF exports now allow each symbol/linetype to be sent to a different layer. SDMS transfers have been added and work extremely well for Eagle Point users.

Version 5 includes lots of new plotting features, multiple ASCII format definitions,
the ability to map your codes to symbols, import DXF linework and generate cogo from it.
User definable print formats allow you to create customizable reports.
